About John Davidson

I’m a journalist in Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland who specialises in the great outdoors – including walking, cycling and mountaineering.

In my day job I work for Highland News & Media as Deputy Managing Editor, working with the editorial teams to produce 18 weekly newspapers and associated websites, along with a number of editorial and commercial supplements and tourism publications.

I am a qualified summer Mountain Leader and a member of the Mountain Training Association.

I have written two books of walking and cycling routes around the Highlands and I am also involved in campaigning for better streets for all through calling for a more pedestrian and cycle-friendly environment.
