Welcome to the new Active Outdoors podcast. In our first episode, John Davidson is on the edge of the Monadhliath when he climbs to a trig point on Beinn Bhuidhe and he also talks to PE teacher Jane Chisholm about a bid to raise money to build a mountain bike skills loop in the grounds of Inverness Royal Academy.

Recorded largely out in the field, we aim to bring you more inspiring routes, stories and adventures as we start to venture further afield as the coronavirus restrictions begin to ease across the Highlands and the rest of Scotland.

We hope the podcast will become a valuable addition to our weekly Active Outdoors newspaper features and online section of the Inverness Courier website.
