Back home after a soggy walk up Ben Bhraggie this evening. On the way up it seemed like it would be a beautiful evening but then the heavens opened… and stayed open.

It’s a good stiff climb up to the Duke of Sutherland monument, criss-crossing the Highland Wildcat mountain bike trails on the way.

Got some great views despite the weather but it could be fantastic on a really clear day, so I must come back when the weather’s better.

I put my full waterproofs on just before the top and it chucked it down good and proper for the rest of the walk.

This one’s going in the Courier in a few weeks, so check out full details there!
