I first got to know Jo when I took part in the Loch Ness 360 challenge a few years ago, but what she is doing now makes that loop of the loch look like a walk in the park! Jo has been walking from Land’s End since the beginning of May, and is now in the last few days of her very personal challenge to reach John O’Groats on foot.
She is raising money for two charities close to her heart, including Scottish Mountain Rescue, and she joined the Kintail mountain rescue team on one of our training sessions earlier this year before she set off.
Her commitment not only to the challenge but to learning more and sharing the stories behind her fundraising is an inspiration.
It was a pleasure to meet up with Jo at Berriedale as she entered her final week of her Lejog walk, when we recorded this podcast as she set off for Dunbeath.
Keep up with her progress @nessielass where you can also contribute to the charities she is supporting.
