We spent yesterday in Torridon having a day climbing on a superb crag beyond Diabaig in Torridon, Wester Ross, with Jim Sutherland of nineonesix guiding.
As an alternative approach, Jim had arranged a boat trip across Loch Torridon for us, which made it a memorable day from the start.
I put myself in the ‘beginners’ category when it comes to climbing, so we did a few basic climbs under Jim’s guidance, to the level of V.Diff and Severe. Not bad for me!
We had a fine sunny day and enjoyed our day on the crag, as well as the boat trip back with Torridon Sea Tours.
After this experience, I might be tempted to get back into a bit more climbing. There’s something more appealing about outdoor climbing than spending an evening at the climbing wall. And Peter is determined to get me up the In Pinn so I’ll need to get some practise in anyway!
