Thankfully I did manage to do it in under two hours, though 1:45 to 1:50 would have been more like my usual level.<\/p>\n<p>Never mind, I can blame the weather on this occasion &#8211; even though the truth is probably more like the lack of training contributed to me suffering after seven or eight miles and shuffling around the rest of the course.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks again to all the volunteers, marshalls and organisers. It must have been a cold one stood in the same spot for the duration of the race. At least we could warm up by keeping on running!<\/p>\n<p>Just got the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.invernesshalfmarathon.co.uk\/result\/14\/2011-half-marathon-results\/?epage=15&#038;filter=&#038;sort=\">results <\/a><\/strong>in &#8211; 713th out of 1120 runners.
