I had my first real experience of hill running today, when I was taken up Bac an Eich in Strathconon by a couple of guys from the Highland Hill Runners. It’s a hill I’ve had my eye on for some time so it was great to get the chance to go up there, and on such a fantastic day. <\/p>\n

The picture really shows off the shape of the hill well. We were at the summit within an hour-and-a-half of setting off and back home by lunch time – not my usual day on the hill!
\n<\/p>\n

There were incredible views of the Strathfarrar Munros, among many other visible summits, including Sgurr Mor and Sgurr nan Clach Geala in the Fannichs.<\/p>\n

A fine day out and I quite fancy another go at this hill running malarkey! <\/p>\n
