It was a rainy start but after a heavy shower when we reached the monument the skies cleared and we enjoyed a sunny end to our little adventure.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The views from up here are truly spectacular, and the forest trails are superb. It looks like they are well used by walkers and mountain bikers, as well as the odd horse rider.<\/p>\n<p>The main Jubilee path was quite busy, mostly with tourists I think, but we diverted from the monument to take an alternative route back.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be able to find out more in The Inverness Courier in a few weeks&#8217; time!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had a lovely walk up Cnoc Fyrish near Alness this afternoon, with my wife Meg and baby Clara.
