Walking and Cycling in Inverness and the Highlands
Walking and Cycling in Inverness and the Highlands was published in 2011 and is now out of print. You may still be able to find a copy in some book shops around the Highlands or from Highland libraries.
It contains 25 walks and 25 cycle routes focused on Inverness but with some across the Highlands. As you can appreciate, much has changed since 2011 so some of the route descriptions may not reflect exactly what is on the ground today.
I have started the process of revisiting as many of the routes as possible and will be updating this page where necessary with any changes, which I hope readers will find useful. House at the start of the walk is now called Braewood, not Easterton.
New track for pylons after leaving Loch Bunachton. Now you need to take a right turn onto the new track alongside the pylons, then follow the blue Trail of the Seven Lochs (T7L) marker post right onto the old track after about 50 metres.
