Around Carrbridge

We’re out on a lovely winter walk around Carrbridge, just at Sluggan Bridge at the moment. This is the third time I’ve done a version of this walk, which will feature in my book, and I think I’ve finally sussed out the best way to do it!

Robin reliant…


I took these pictures this morning before setting off through the fresh snow for work. While I was gearing up, this little robin jumped onto my bike, first on the front tyre, then the handlebars and finally on the crossbar.

Inverness to Moy by Wade’s Road

I walked General Wade’s Military Road from Inverness to Moy to look at its condition for a project the Scottish Rights of Way Society – ScotWays – is undertaking. I also wrote a feature for the Inverness Courier on the route (December 3, 2010 edition).
